Keith ran at GrandView Speedway on
June 21st, 2009
Keith started the race 20th in a field of 37. The track was watered down before the 100 lap race to keep the dust down.
At the drop of the green flag all cars struggled to get a grasp on the wet track in the early going. By lap 5 the leader Duane Eidem
hit the wall hard in turn 2 finishing his day and handing the lead over to Keith. Keith lead the race for a couple of laps before he
was spun on the back stretch handing the lead over to Chris Reichert and 2nd place Mark Spencer. Mark in second place had to
leave the track to change a rear flat tire around lap 20 handing the 2nd place position to Keith. Keith in second quickly applied
pressure to the leader Reichert. Keith made the pass for the lead around lap 35 and then progressed to dominate the field by
lapping everyone by lap 50. Keith continued to dominate the field by chasing down Tim Pauch the 2nd place car to put everyone
down 2 laps by lap 85. But by lap 82 Keith was forced to pit when his rear tire went flat with 18 laps to go handing the lead
over to Tim Pauch and eventually the race win.
Keith ended up 6th when the day was finished.
Great job Keith.
